Many people think that you achieve your goals only by working hard day and night. They try to follow execution plans and put a lot of resources into getting to where they want to be. But very few actually make it. The gap between goals and results is often huge. Why? It’s because they didn’t define their goals correctly in the first place. Setting goals according to the 100 Day Challenge model is the guarantee of getting to where you want to go. It’s a very effective method to get what you want. 1000’s of clients can’t be wrong.

The first step to move forward is… to know where you want to go! Remember the absurd question posed by Alice in Wonderland at the famous Cheshire Cat: "Would you tell me, please, which should I take to go to away from here?" "It depends largely on where you want to go," answered the mischievously smiling cheeky animal. "I do not care," said Alice. "So the path you'll take has no importance," replied the Cheshire Cat.

The Art of Going Around the Table: How to go nowhere

If the conversation of Alice and the cat may seem absurd, if we look honestly at our strategies, how we live our lives, we recognize that we often proceed haphazardly, without taking the time to clearly define our objectives. Often our only motivation is to advance, like that of Alice, "our way out", out of a situation, to go elsewhere… But don’t we risk wasting time, going in circles, living in Wonderland and the absurd, dreaming our lives instead of living our dreams?

Dreaming one's life or living one's dreams: Vicky, Christina, Barcelona:

To move forward, to achieve our goals, we need a very clear idea of where we want to go. In one of the last films of Woody Allen, “Vicky, Christina, Barcelona”, Christina, beautifully played by Scarlett Johansson, "knows exactly what she does not want", affirmed the film's narrator. And in fact, every time she tastes a possible happiness or touches her dreams, she hesitates, sabotages herself without knowing it…

A cure for chronic dissatisfaction

The character played by the hysterical and passionate Penelope Cruz, Maria Elena, will get Christina the answer to her problems when she sabotages her life again by abandoning her dreams, by sabotaging the happiness that is in front of her but she can’t recognize it because she does not know what she wants (she does know what she doesn’t want!, subtle knowledge of the human psyche by Woody Allen!). Maria says: "You're a chronic dissatisfied! Knowing what you don’t want is the best way to dream your life. However, knowing what you want is the royal way to live your dreams!

A journey of a thousand steps begins with one step…

If you hang out around Gary Ryan Blair for any length of time (actually around any business acceleration coach for that matter) you quickly understand that meeting your goals at the end of the year relies HEAVILY on how you start it.

Starting fast is one of those basic – yet powerful – principles of success you need to understand and use regardless whether you apply the principles of the 100 Day Challenge program or not. You may watch this short video before proceeding to better understand this principle:

The first 3 months are thus especially crucial for your business. That's why you have to handle the situation in the following way: The New Year signals the start of a three-month sprint. Gary usually refers to it as the Window-of-Opportunity Sprint.

Research and statistical data show that if you are successful in a year's first quarter (~100 days), then you are more likely bound to take precise steps and have a clear path during the rest of the year. This discovery have one implication:

If you want 2012 to be an outstanding year for your business endeavors – if you really mean it – then you have to start the year 100% fired up and focused. You have to start the srpint as fast as you can.

Don't get distracted through the end of you 100 days of sprint… FULL THROTTLE.

Why? Simply because, the strides you make toward achieving your objectives in your first 3 months are vital if you don't want to play catch-up the remaining 9 months of the year. You will get into a vicious circle that's very hard to escape from.

This is where the 100 Day Challenge comes in really handy. I know there are as many business acceleration programs on the market as there are stars in the sky. But very few have proven to be effective.

The 100 Day Challenge has not only proven to work – an excellently at that – but is also tailored to this concept of the Window-of-Opportunity Sprint. Get the ball rolling in the first 100 days of 2012 and you will be in schedule for a great year.

Gary's program is hands down the most comprehensive approach to performance enhancement and goal setting if you didn't set yours yet.

The 100 Day Challenge goes live once again in a couple of days, but if you want to get the most out of it you should have your goals set and be on your mark when the race starts.

BTW, you can download your own goal setting guide right now and get everything ready to start 2012 with a BANG.

If are still uncertain about this phenomenal program, then feel free to check my 100 Day Challenge review for a detailed overview.

Also, don't forget to share the goodness with your friends, family and business collegues and partners.
